Culantro is popularly known as Chadon Beni/Shadow Beni in the Caribbean. It is a herb that has a similar aroma and flavour to cilantro, but it’s definitely not the same as Cilantro. Culantro has long, serrated green leaves and has a much stronger flavour and aroma than Cilantro. Culantro is widely used in curries and stews; also added to many other dishes when sautéing onion and garlic.
