Eryngium foetidum

Culantro is popularly known as Chadon Beni/Shadow Beni in the Caribbean. It is a herb that has a similar aroma and flavour to cilantro, but it’s definitely not the same as Cilantro. Culantro has long, serrated green leaves and has a much stronger flavour and aroma than Cilantro. Culantro is widely used in curries and stews; also added to many other dishes when sautéing onion and garlic.

If the plant “bolts” and creates seeds exercise caution handling as the points of the seed head are extremely sharp!
