This plant can take the heat of hot sunny, tropical locations, and does best when placed in those areas. The unique, bold burgundy/wine coloured leaves are reminiscent of maple leaves. A highly attractive compact perennial that can be used as a foliar hedge. This hibiscus will lose its deep burgundy/wine colour and turn greenish-maroon if left in a greenhouse or shady area.
